Strictly: Song Lowes and dancer woes

oti-and-danny

Week 7 is done and dusted! I thought overall this week was a great week for most couples. Most of them improved on their scores from last week and they are all upping their game because this year is the tightest competition we’ve had in years.

It’s getting to the point were getting 8’s across the board means you’re near the bottom of the leaderboard which just shows how amazing the talent is this year.

Strictly: Unpopular players and unlikely stayers

It’s the end of October so of course it’s time for Halloween week on Strictly Come Dancing. There are just ten couples left so we’re starting to see some couples flourish and improve whereas some are nowhere near the incredibly high standard we’ve seen this series.

Made in Chelsea: Rosie explains it all

Those of you who know me well will know that I have never been Rosie’s biggest fan. It’s not that I don’t like her, I’ve just always found her a bit, well, blaeur. But one thing I’ve always respected is her honesty – except for the time she got with Hugo behind Millie’s back, but we won’t mention that.

It may not have been nice to watch and it may have felt uncomfortable at times, but there’s a lot to be said for being upfront. And while I love Ollie, Rosie delivers it in her stoic and deadpan way, and it basically makes it all the more hard hitting.

Strictly Come Dancing: “This is gonna be a corker!”

The glitter, the spray tans, the six-packs,  Claudia’s fringe and Tess’ awful jokes are back. And boy, is Planet Strictly planning to brighten up your weekend for the 14th series. And – get your tissues ready – it is Head Judge Len Goodman’s final series. The only upside of that is that we may get Arlene Phillips back on the panel.

X-Factor: Hello old friend, we’ve missed you

The Dream Team. And Louis.

It’s that time of year again, when autumn reminds you that you’ve had no summer, when you realize you have to spent Christmas with the in-laws again; and when a collection of stars, diamonds and poor comedians make their way into a room to sing and be embarrassed/praised by a bunch of people at a really cheap table.

And if that sentence was hard to swallow, it’s nothing compared to the amount of X-Factor we’ll be force-fed over the next four months. But we’ll still watch it, we’ll still talk about it and moan about it like our lives depends on it. It’s the reality TV disease. And would we have it any other one?
