Despite that memorable year of “United Kingdom – nil point” – yes it seems we really were the most politically hated country in the world…even more so than Russia and that’s going some! We all came back for more!
Sat on the sofa with a glass *ahem bottle* of wine to make the next 3 hours sliiiightly easier, it was time to see what spectacular moves we can pull this year.
Over the years we’ve had some sights, we’ve had a woman with a beard, dancing grannies and much more.
This year felt more like a version of Stars In Their Eyes!!
Poland gave us Cheryl!
And Serbia gave us Lorde..
Jokes aside, we peaked at 8.2 MILLION viewers this year… compare that to the 10 million of us that tuned in to watch Hayley Cropper die in Corrie! As a nation we love it, we know we’re crap, we know we’re a hated country. The only people that might vote for us is America and they’re not even in it!
While we’re on the point of people not being involved – who invited Australia?! I love the Aussies as much as the next person but really?! Next year I’m in voting America in…lets mix it up a little!
So who won I hear you ask… Ukraine… doesn’t take Einstein to work out the politics of that one! I couldn’t tell you what the song was like as I muted her. Listening to a cat get brutally murdered is not my idea of fun!
Will we be tuning in next year..of course! See you in a year!
